Privacy

Plattow is built to need nothing from you. No account, no profile, no contact details, no tracking pixels.

What we don't collect

We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information. The address you type into the search box is sent only to the U.S. Census geocoder so we can look up its latitude and longitude. We don't log it on a server we control, because there is no server we control — Plattow is a static page that runs entirely in your browser.

What goes where, when you search

When you check an address, your browser sends queries directly to public U.S. government data services: the Census geocoder, USDA Rural Development, FEMA's flood and risk index services, USGS elevation, EPA, BTS, BLM, and the National Transportation Atlas. Each of these endpoints sees the latitude and longitude they need to answer that one query, and nothing about you. Plattow itself never sees those queries — they flow from your browser to those agencies and back.

Cookies and tracking

Plattow sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no third-party fingerprinting. We don't even use localStorage to remember settings across visits.

Sponsor links

The loan cards at the bottom of a report sometimes contain links to lenders or affiliate partners. Clicking one of those links takes you to the partner's site in a new tab. Plattow does not pass your address or any of your search activity to the partner — they only see that the click came from our site.

Server logs

The static files that make up Plattow are hosted on Netlify. Netlify keeps standard web server access logs (your IP address, the page you requested, your User-Agent string) for operational and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs are not used by us for any analytics or profiling.

Children's privacy

Plattow is not directed at children under 13, and since we collect no personal information from anyone, no information is collected from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version replaces this one at this URL. There is no archive — what's on this page is the current policy.
